Neighborhood Youth Council
Neighborhood Youth Council empowers youth to take leadership and service roles in their community. Our mission is to Create, Advocate, Service, and Educate the community; through community development projects, promoting creativity, safe spaces, and raising awareness of social justice issues. NYC will work closely with other local youth organizations, neighborhood associations, and city government to increase the availability of positive programming for youth in the city.
Partners for Youth has created three councils in the Cardinal Valley, East End/West End, and Gainesway areas. Meetings are open to all Fayette County high school students. For more information about NYC contact the PFY office at (859) 280-8005.

In 2016, Officer Jones had vision to connect our youth with police officers to bridge the gap between them, so he created the Police Immersion Program. Students from our Neighborhood Youth Council’s participate in this annual program each spring semester of school. It runs from January through April.
